Armed Men Break Into Home And Attempt To Assault Girl, But Grandpa Makes Them Pay

A grandfather from Lumberton, North Carolina acted heroically when he saved his granddaughter from being assaulted by three men. 67-year-old Kenneth Byrd and his wife were at their home at 10 p.m. when there was a knock at the door.

There was a man outside his house that told Byrd that he was experiencing car issues, and asked for a glass of water, according to Inquisitr. Two men armed with guns appeared behind the first man, wearing black clothing, ski masks and gloves. They pushed their way into Kenneth’s home and demanded money.

It is reported that the three men took the 67-year-old and his wife to the back of the house, and demanded that they open the safe that was back there.

It then became apparent that these alleged criminals had intended to sexually assault his teenaged granddaughter when Byrd jumped into action to save her.
