Carrie Fisher's Mother's Final Words Before Passing Were Heartbreaking

2016 has been marred with the deaths of beloved icons. During the Christmas holiday, there was no respite from that pattern. On December 27th, we lost Carrie Fisher. Her role as Princess Leia in the original ‘Star Wars’ franchise made her an immortal icon.

Just the next day, her mother Debbie Reynolds died at the age of 84. It is reported that Debbie Reynolds was at her son Todd’s house, discussing her daughter's funeral arrangements on the morning of December 28th, when she suffered from a stroke.

She was immediately taken to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. Later that day, she passed away. We cannot imagine what her son Todd, and especially her granddaughter Billie Lourd are going through. Billie Lourd lost her mother and grandmother in the span of two days; likewise for Todd, who lost his sister and mother.

Todd Fisher has opened up about what his mother’s final words were while she was at his home right before being struck with the fatal stroke. Debbie Reynolds' final words were about her beloved daughter, which were: ‘I miss her so much, I want to be with Carrie.’ The public has been reeling with the shock of losing Carrie Fisher, but it is especially compounded with the loss of her mother just the next day.
