16 Of The Wackiest Hulk Hogan Merchandise Ever Sold
Written by Ana Krneta
Terry Bollea, famously known as Hulk Hogan, is probably the most well known wrestler outside of the WWE; his only competition, after so long, being John Cena and The Rock. During his heyday in the WWE, Hogan merchandise brought in a pretty penny.
- Hogan is still considered to be one of the greatest wrestlers of all time.
- He began wrestling in 1977, making his career span more than 3 decades.
Hogan had that perfect mix of technical talent, personality, and a unique look that made him so popular.
His iconic image and popularity has been used to sell a lot of WWE merchandise, much more than just t-shirts and mugs! In fact, you could put Hulk’s face and name on anything and it would probably sell.
1/ The Hulkamania Workout Set, a chance for scrawny kids to wear the same iconic headband and wristbands as their hero while they get ready to pump iron. The set also came with a set of barbells, a jump rope, and a grip trainer. Of course it also came with instructions to get you in the best Hulk shape of your life!
2/ The WWE video games have given fans an opportunity to play as their favorite wrestlers in their dream matches. Hulk is the only WWE Superstar that got his own video game, making him the only playable character. It was titled ‘Hulk Hogan’s Main Event’.
3/ The first two products are pretty relevant to wrestling, but he has also been paid to advertise for things way outside of the wrestling world and it still works! He has been the face of Rent-A-Center along with NFL legend Troy Aikman. Nothing like having the Hulk sell you a giant television that you can pay off in installments.
4/ Hulk Hogan’s behemoth figure is just as iconic as his name. Of course it makes sense that his body is one of his best selling points. Even at 60, the Hulk looks amazing and physically intimidating. He credits his figure to Body by VI products, and he is also the celebrity face of the company who occasionally attends trade shows in support of the products.
