Our bodies are the only constant thing we have throughout our lives. Clothes, belongings, gadgets and even other people come and go, but our bodies stay with us forever. Day in and day out we perform all sorts of complex and simple functions using our bodies like:
- Navigating through the world
- Solving problems
- Using our senses
The human body is fascinating and complex, and as a species we’re always doing more to improve our understanding of it in order to improve it. But in general, we hardly know everything there is to know about our body and brain.

Your nose can remember 50,000 different scents.
You could technically survive without quite a lot of your organs. If you lost your stomach, spleen, 75% of your liver, 80% of your intestines, one kidney and one lung you could still live.
Our hearts create enough pressure to pump blood 30 feet up into the air.
Your ears create more earwax when you’re afraid than when you’re not.
