Casi and Joey Rott were thrilled when they welcomed triplets into their family. They already had two daughters Chloe, 7, and Tenkey, 2. Any pregnancy is difficult to go through, but the more babies you carry the more complicated your pregnancy will be.

The triplets-- Asher, Levi, and Piper-- were born on January 29, 2016. What went from being one of the happiest times of this family's life, quickly turned to unforeseen tragedy leaving Joey Rott a single dad with five kids to raise and love.

Casi Rott unexpectedly passed away due to a blood clot. She had a very difficult pregnancy but did not want to induce early labor. Instead, she carried the triplets to 34 weeks. When she entered her third semester, her pregnancy had so many complications that she moved from her home to Wichita for a temporary period to be closer to medical care.

Casi was absent from her two older daughters for some time in the last semester of her pregnancy. She recovered very quickly but when she was about to go home, she started to experience chest pains. It turns out she had a blood clot so doctors gave her medication for it.
