Getting a tattoo is so mainstream, and tons of people have simple or elaborate body ink on themselves. There are ways to remove it that are costly and uncomfortable, but for one tattoo artist, he went another direction when he wanted his face tattoo removed.

The tattoo artist named Josh from Australia had the two words ‘Freedom’ and ‘Overcome’ tattooed on his forehead, according to The Sun. He went and had his forehead tattoo removed in what looks like an incredibly painful way, by essentially getting his skin cut off.

Josh wanted to change the tattoo on his face, and he went to Bslice, a body modifier who carefully sliced the words right off his head, and instead made it into a pattern.

The video is graphic, with the tattoo artist slowly slicing away the old tattoo, and revealing the raw, bloody skin underneath. He must be used to the pain of tattoos, because he appears to be handling the process quite well.
