Written by Hillary Nguyen-Don
When you’re hair starts to get greasy and you’re too lazy to wash it. There are some simple ways to avoid your friends from pointing out the greasy mess on your hair. You can:
- Cover your hair with a hat
- Use dry shampoo to get rid of the excess oil
- Throw your hair up in a bun
The messy bun is a lazy girl’s favorite hairstyle, but when you’re a ballerina your go-to look is the sleek ballerina bun.
The pulled-back look may appear sophisticated and professional however it can actually do a lot of damage to your hair. This former ballerina learned this lesson the hard way.
Diva Hollands is a 22-year-old mother of two and was formerly a ballerina dancer. She began dancing at just three years old! She remembers her mother tying her hair back in order to keep her hair out of her face.
‘My mum tied my hair up really tight from when I was really little, and looking back at pictures you can see it started having an effect on my hairline,’ revealed Diva.

However, she believes that her everyday hairstyle was the cause to her receding hairline. By her teen years she was targeted by bullies for her hairline.
‘I was bullied for my hairline in primary school and then into secondary school, but it got really serious when I was about 13,’ she said. ‘Since then I was completely self-conscious about it and did everything I could to hide the area.’
