Written by Beatriz Sanchez
Wouldn’t it be fun to record yourself living your life and making some serious money for just being your charming self? These people have managed to do just that, and the money they get in return is, well, more than you can imagine.
- Roman Atwood
- Felix Kjellberg
- Lilly Singh
But how much do these YouTubers really make? Forbes released their annual ‘highest paid YouTuber list’ that tells us just exactly that, and is based on data from Nielsen, IMDB, as well as on interviews with agents, managers, lawyers, and the stars themselves.
Everyone in this list makes at least $5 million dollars a year, recording themselves doing what they love. It’s okay to be jealous.
#1 PewDiePie: Swedish YouTuber, 26, is at the number one hotspot again for a second year running. He currently has over 49.7 million and makes $15 million a year. Since 2013, he has been the most subscribed user on YouTube.
#2 Roman Atwood: This American YouTube personality, comedian and vlogger, spends his days posting about his life on his YouTube channel. Not only is he having fun doing so, but he’s makes $8 million doing it.
He also has a second channel called ‘RomanAtwood’ where he posts prank videos. However, as of December 2016, he hasn’t posted anything for 9 months.
#3 Lilly Singh: She’s a canadian YouTube personality, vlogger, comedian, actress and rapper. She began her channel in October 2010 and is now making $7.5 million.
