Studies Suggest That The Amount Of Hair In Your Ear Might Warn You About Your Future Health

Hair In Your Ear

Society nowadays is very conscious about diseases, and at present, the majority of us are informed about what poses a risk for heart attacks and heart disease:

  • Genetics
  • Weight
  • Smoking

However, there’s a factor you may not have suspected, and it’s all about your ears (yes, you read that right).

According to some studies, the amount of hair you have in your ears might be an indicator of your future health, so much so that understanding how they relate to your health could potentially save your life!

Back in 1973, Dr. Sanders T. Frank and his team determined that a diagonal earlobe crease can indicate coronary artery disease. Eleven years later, after a lot of tests, another team of scientists agreed with this theory.

Then, in 2006, Dr. Edston E. also published a study that stated that an earlobe crease was strongly tied to heart disease.

By this point, everyone agreed that the ear can indicate heart disease!

However, it wasn’t only about the earlobe, but the ear canal and how much hair it has.

But don’t worry; it’s not the ear hair itself that’s causing the heart disease. What these studies show is that more testosterone equals more hair all over the body, including the ears.

And who has the most amount of testosterone? Men do, which means that they are more prone to heart attacks than women.

And the more testosterone a man has, the bigger the chances of him having a heart attack.

And what better way to know how much testosterone you produce than by taking a look at your ear?
